An exciting event from SADS HK Foundation Photo Competition 2025: Hong Kong Culture just started. Hong Kong is an Asian Cosmopolitan City that everyone can explore a lot of places and capture a lot of precious moment. So, if you have any beautiful pictures from the Traditional food culture, dazzling and charming urban night scenes, please share with us this year.


 

Theme: Hong Kong Culture

 

Participation:

l   Free of Charge

l   Upload the photos to Facebook (the privacy setting must be “public”), specify the location and add the hashtag #sadshk2026 

l   Dates of Competition: 13 June 2025 – 13 August 2025

l   Announcement of Result: 30 Sept (will announce on SADS HK website and Facebook page, Fitz platform)

 

Prizes

l   First Prize: $2,000

l   Second Prize: $1,500

l   Third Prize: $1,200

l   Fourth Prize: $ 800

l   Fifth Prize: $500

l   Sixth to Twelve Prize: $300

l   Winners will also get 10 pieces of 2026 calendar with the collection of winning photos (for each winner)

l   The Organizer will give out calendars to charities, clinics and donors

 

Judging Criteria

l   Visual & Aesthetic Sense  70%

l   Technical Merit – Use of Technique   15%

l   Communication of the Theme - Relevancy of Message  15%

 

Submission Guidelines

l   Each participant can only submit 3 photos; if exceeding, the organizer reserves the right to randomly select 3 photos for entries

l   The photos must be the original work of the participant, and must not have been submitted for any other competition or provided to any party for publishing.

l   Please submit photographs that are un-manipulated and real, Only dodging (to brighten shadows) or burning (to darken highlights), colour adjustment and cropping is acceptable, but computer generated images or composite photos are not accepted.

l   The winners will be asked to submit a JPEG file larger than 2.5 MB after the announcement of the results for printing purpose.

l   The participants retain the copyright of their photos. However, the organizer can publish the winning photographs on any publicity materials and events. Prior consent from entrants is not required and no copyright royalty shall be paid.

l   Acknowledgement will be given to the winners when publishing the work.

l   The Organizer reserve the rights on any event and award arrangements.

l   in case of any discrepancy between the English version and Chinese version of the Competition Document, the Chinese version shall prevail.
